Once upon a time, Roisgarden was an online corset site with actual things for sale.

Then I moved, and had a landlord who wasn't at all thrilled with the idea of my running a business out of the apartment, and my full-time job paid far more than I could make sewing, so I closed down.

I'm back, sorta.

At the moment, I'm more interested in working on my portfolio than I am in making money (I can do that at work - sewing is all about fun these days!)

One day, I was sketching a design for a corset that I would have to be crazy to offer for sale, when it came to me that I should do a series of one-of-a-kind, incredibly detailed corsets. There's nothing wrong with making an infinate number of black satin underbust corsets, and once I'd have been happy to do it, but I like the variety and challenge that this series is going to provide me with.

The first few are going to my friends - some were designed with the recipient in mind. Once those are complete, I'll open up the remaining designs to people who want unique, wearable artworks. Each piece will be made to fit the eventual wearer, and some design elements will be negotiable, but on the whole, I'm maintaining creative control of each piece.

Yes, it does sound like I'm trying to discourage buyers. I am.
I'm not ready to bring RG back up to speed as a full-time buisiness, and until I am I'm keeping everything very, very controlled.
